Andrew Young - Off The Plantation

Andrew Young, successful, black, liberal, "civil-rights" leader, former mayor of Atlanta, UN Ambassador recently made a serious maistake - the kind of mistake that get's you in trouble with the left - he told the truth. Asked by an interviewer from a black newspaper, the LA Sentinel, if Wal-Mart displaced mom-and-pop retailers, Young replied:

"Well, I think they should; they ran the 'mom-and-pop' stores out of my neighborhood… But you see those are the people who have been overcharging us— selling us stale bread, and bad meat and wilted vegetables. And they sold out and moved to Florida. I think they've ripped off our communities enough. First it was Jews, then it was Koreans and now it's Arabs, very few black people own these stores."

Of course it was only the mention of Jews that got him into real trouble with the media.

Perhaps - but you don't say why you think so.

Is it is your reason, or your passion I offend?
