I just sort of assume this goes on all the time. Why would CNN make a big deal out of it now? Could this be a Republican threat - saying in effect to the Ds that after next election we have lots of dirt we can spill - so back off. Politics as usual.

I will say this for the Justice and State Departments under the Bush Admin - AIPAC has been warned several times. Remember the still unresolved Franklin scandle?

Maybe Bush is really angry about AIPACs war which will forever cost him any legacy other than loser.
